Tom’s of Maine Kid’s and Toddler Natural Toothpaste Investigation

An independent study discovered that some popular toothpastes, such as two flavors of Tom’s of Maine toothpaste, contained unsafe levels of some neurotoxins from arsenic to lead to cadmium and mercury. While the testing was insufficient to detect significant enough levels of cadmium, it found that the Silly Strawberry flavor of the Kid’s Natural toothpaste potentially contained lead and arsenic, while the Mild Berry flavor of the Toddler’s Natural toothpaste potentially contained lead and mercury.

Any level of neurotoxins like lead and arsenic are unsafe for consumers, especially when the product is geared towards children!
