Horizon Card – Class Action Investigation

Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP is investigating Reliant Holdings Inc., also known as Horizon Card Services, following reports that the company and its CEO, Robert King, deceptively marketed credit cards to financially vulnerable consumers.

Reliant Holdings allegedly promoted a high-cost, low-value membership credit card that, on the surface, appeared to be a standard, everyday credit card. After applying and being approved, consumers reported receiving cards with very low credit limits—some as low as $500. Some account holders may describe the accompanying membership program as nearly useless and were shocked to discover they were obligated to pay hundreds of dollars in mandatory fees.

According to reports, numerous consumers chose to close their accounts after realizing the card’s limited value, despite already having paid significant fees. Reliant is accused of misleading consumers by offering minimal benefits while imposing steep charges.
