Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP is currently investigating Oracle Cloud for an apparent failure to safeguard sensitive consumer information in a data breach that was detected on or around March 20, 2025. Oracle Cloud, a cloud computing service falling under the Oracle Corporation company based in Texas,  was alerted that an unauthorized actor gained access to client data within Oracle Cloud’s systems – though the threat actor announced publicly to have breached Oracle, Oracle has denied these claims.

The Oracle Cloud Breach is still fairly new, and it is unclear how long the threat actor who infiltrated Oracle Cloud’s information systems had access. It has been discovered, however, that approximately 140,000 individuals may have been impacted by the breach. Consumer information exposed in the breach may vary but can include user log-in credentials and potentially more sensitive information.

The cybercriminals responsible for the breach may have already obtained and sold the compromised consumer information. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, medical and/or government services ordered in their name, or their information being posted on the dark web.
