2022 Nissan Pathfinder Exhibiting Potential Brake Failure
Shub & Johns LLC launches investigation into Nissan after consumers report to be experiencing issues with the rear brakes of the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Owners and drivers of the 2022 Pathfinder take to online forums to voice their concerns with how this potential defect can require early replacements of the braking system.
Owners and drivers of the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder are noticing issues with the rear brakes on their vehicles. Many consumers report that wear on the rear brakes is unusually fast, potentially requiring owners to replace their brakes within such a short period of time. Consumers indicate that the brake pads may be degrading relatively quickly compared to other model vehicle, needing replacements within approximately 15,000 – 20,000 miles after installation, compared to the general rule of replacing brake pads every 30,000 – 50,000 miles.
This concern can leave many drivers at risk of potential safety issues on the road. Worn and weathered brake pads can cause brake failure or delayed stopping on the road or even skidding on the road, which in some situations can become costly for the consumer. Some report that this issue only affects rear brake pads, while the brake pads for the front of the vehicle may remain in a working condition.
This may very well be a manufacturing issue, but Nissan has not addressed this concern with the 2022 Pathfinder’s rear brake pads. This alleged defect may require consumers to spend out of pocket expenses for constant replacements of the brake pads for the remainder of the vehicle’s lifespan, potentially costing consumers hundreds over years.
