Azura/Vascular Care $3.15 Million Settlement

Parties in the Fresenius Vascular Care, Inc. d/b/a Azura Vascular Care data breach class action have agreed to a $3.15 million settlement. The class action comes following a cybersecurity incident that occurred between September 27 and October 9, 2023 within Azura’s data systems. Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP subsequently filed a class action case following discovery of the data breach on behalf of the nationwide class of impacted consumers. The breach compromised personal and medical information such as Social Security numbers and insurance details. Affected individuals who received a breach notification may be eligible for compensation.

Claimants can choose between two payout options:

Up to $10,000 for documented financial losses; OR
A pro-rata cash payment based on the total number of valid claims.

To receive compensation, affected individuals must file a claim by June 30, 2025. Impacted consumers can submit a claim via the settlement website accessible here, or by returning the settlement notice delivered to them. A final approval hearing will be held on June 16, 2025 where the court will hear arguments pertaining to the Parties Settlement efforts.
