Cardiovascular Medical Group of Southern California, a cardiology and internal medicine practice servicing Beverly Hills and surrounding communities, discovered that an unauthorized actor gained access to client data within CMG’s systems.

CMG has not indicated when the breach initially occurred nor has it reported the number of impacted individuals. Consumer information exposed in the breach has not been identified but may include full names, demographic information, contact information, health information, and other personal and private data.

The cybercriminals responsible for the breach may have already obtained and sold the compromised consumer information. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, medical and/or government services ordered in their name, or their information being posted on the dark web.
