Shub Johns & Holbrook launches investigation into Hisense Group Co. (“Hisense”) regarding the Company’s advertising of its QLED television devices. We are investigating whether these TVs have QLED technology because consumers are paying a premium price for it.
Quantum dot light-emitting diode technology (more commonly known as QLED technology or QD) is a human made technology used to improve the range and breadth of the colors displaying on an LCD television screen.
QLED TVs however must have a sufficient quantity of these quantum dot diodes in order to be considered a QLED. If it doesn’t contain sufficient diodes, then it should not be labeled as a QLED TV and consumers are being subjected to false advertising. That is unlawful in California.
Hisense QLEDs have been marketed and sold to consumers as QLED television sets these TVs may not actually be equipped with QLED technology or insufficient QLED technology to provide or display meaningful improvements or differences from a traditional LED TV.
Hisense QLED TVs that may not meet the QLED criteria include:
– QD5 series – QD6 series – QD65 series | – QD7 series – U7 series – U7N series |
Did you purchase one of these Hisense QLED TVs and are concerned that you were deceived by the company of its QLED technology criteria? Let us know! Fill out the form and join our investigation today!
