New Name. New Address. Same Firm. Same Values.
West Conshohocken, PA / April 3, 2023 – Shub Law Firm founder Jonathan Shub announced that, effective April 1, 2023, the law firm will be renamed Shub & Johns LLC (“S&J”). Shub also announced that, effective on this same date, S&J has established its offices at the following location in Pennsylvania:
Shub & Johns LLC
Four Tower Bridge
200 Barr Harbor Drive, Suite 400
West Conshohocken, PA 19428
“The name change is reflective of the natural growth trajectory of the firm with the recent addition of Ben Johns and partner Sam Holbrook,” said Shub. “We are proud of the achievements of our extraordinary team of attorneys and other professionals, and will continue the firm’s tireless work on behalf of our consumer-clients in important cases across the country.”
Shub originally founded Shub Law firm in February of 2020. During the tenure of Shub Law, it served as co-lead counsel in a privacy case the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania involving an alleged violation of that state’s Criminal History Record Information Act. Taha v. Bucks County et al., No. 2:12-cv-06867-WB (E.D. Pa.). This case, which lasted over seven years and included an appeal to the Third Circuit, resulted in a $68 million jury verdict. This is believed to be the first privacy class action that has been successfully tried to a jury verdict.
Mr. Johns joined Shub Law in November of 2022, and has already been appointed by several courts to serve as co-lead counsel in consumer privacy cases. While a partner at his previous firm, he took the lead in successfully arguing a motion for class certification and against two motions to dismiss in In re Macbook Keyboard Litig., No. 5:18-cv-02813-EJD (N.D. Cal.), which recently settled for a $50 million common fund. He has also argued in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Third Circuit, and D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Holbrook joined the firm in early 2023. Since joining the firm, Ms. Holbrook has made substantial contributions to over a dozen cases and has played a significant role in several of the firm’s data privacy cases. Given her extensive experience in class action litigation, she stands poised to join the ranks of the next-generation diverse class action leaders.
