Are you a business impacted by Trump’s imposed tariffs? The U.S. Supreme Court recently announced that the Trump tariffs were improperly imposed, making any tariffs you paid illegal!
The Trump Administration currently does not plan to reimburse the illegally-collected tariff costs – billions of American dollars paid by you! If you are an importer, business, or paid import tariffs and are not being compensated, fill out our form to join the investigation!
In a recent Supreme Court decision, SCOTUS declared President Donald Trump’s tariff increase a federal violation of the law, posing the concern to many businesses, “does this mean that we didn’t have to pay those tariffs?”
Businesses seek refunds for the nearly year long imposition of Trump’s tariffs that led these businesses to increase costs for their consumers and potentially risk losing a customer base. Now as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision, some companies may hope that the Trump administration offers tariff refunds back to impacted businesses. The Trump administration has provided no indication, however, that these refunds will take place.
It’s not just American businesses concerned with a tariff reimbursement, American consumers certainly have felt the impact of tariffs and price increases across the country. Business price increases due to the President’s impose tariff costs, placing the burden of the cost increase on everyday purchasers. If these tariffs were a violation however, according to the Supreme Court’s ruling, some consumers may feel that those costs should be returned.
Plaintiffs lawyers, like SJ&H’s own Jonathan Shub, understand how both consumers and businesses have been impacted by the tariff increase. Recently Mr. Shub spoke to Marketplace.org concerning his thoughts and investigations into tariff violations. “Some companies have said on earnings calls that tariff cost pressures would lead them to hike prices. These statements would lend credence to the plaintiffs’ argument…” said Mr. Shub about the potential for a class action.
