USA-Made Products may contain Foreign Material

Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP launches an investigation into products that are mislabeled as being “USA-Made” or otherwise consists of materials found and made in the USA. Products such as Reynolds Wrap or Olaplex Shampoo have come under fire from claiming to be Made in the USA when some of these products may actually consist of material found outside of the US.

Everyday Americans look out for products solely made in the US, potentially proud of their country and what can come of it. But are companies taking advantage of this pride? It was discovered that some companies that plant and tout the “Made in USA” labeling, or some other similar version of the phrase, on its packaging may be deceiving consumers by including it.

Companies that include mislabeling on their products, whether intentional or not, often profit off of the mislabeled products, potentially leaving consumers with a product that isn’t exactly what they believed it to be nor what the product’s labeling and marketing described it to be.
