After the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) created its own investigation into the 2020 – 2023 Hyundai Palisade, consumers began reporting on a potential defect with the vehicle, notifying the organization that the seatbelts may “inadvertently unlatch” while driving.
Over 330,000 Hyundai Palisade vehicles may potentially be recalled for this alleged defect with cabin seatbelts. A few dozen seatbelt defect incidents have been reported with many indicating that the second-row of seatbelts are affected by the defect the most.
This issue can create a safety concern for owners of the Hyundai Palisade. A defect that causes seatbelts to unlatch without cause or warning can become dangerous for passengers in the vehicle, especially young children who are often sitting in the second row or back seat of vehicles. This alleged defect places an unnecessary and dangerous risk on consumers who purchased the vehicle who were completely unaware of the potential issue.
Do you own or lease a 2020 – 2023 Hyundai Palisade and have experienced issues with you seatbelts inadvertently unlatching? Let us know! Fill out the attached form and join the Shub & Johns investigation today!
