HopSkipDrive Data Breach Impacts Private Information of over 155K Individuals

Shub & Johns LLC is currently investigating HopSkipDrive, Inc. for its apparent failure to prevent a significant data breach.

HopSkipDrive is a California-based rideshare service. Recently, HopSkipDrive experienced a data breach in which the private information of over 155,000 users was leaked. The compromised data may include the full legal names, home addresses, email addresses, and driver’s license numbers of affected individuals.

The cybercriminals responsible for the breach may have already obtained and sold the compromised information. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, medical and/or government services ordered in their name, or their information being posted on the dark web.
