Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP launches an investigation into Graco after consumer reports indicate that one of its rocking baby swings may exhibit a defect that can lead to safety concerns.
The Graco Slim Spaces swing is a compact baby swing with an automated rocking feature. While an enticing product for parents with restless infants, many buyers and swing owners have reported that the rocking swing may begin rocking back and forth and high speeds on its own accord.
Consumers report to notice a flashing light on the device before the seat begins to swing very fast, even if the rocker is on the lowest setting. Turning down the speed setting after the rocker starts going fast is seemingly not as easy as it may seem, as many indicate that turning the dial down does not fix the issue.
Research and investigations suggest that this potential defect may be a result of a low battery, though some buyers indicate that changing the batteries may not slow down the rocking mechanism.
This can be a dangerous issue for parents and their babies. Some parents are concerned of the safety and health risks this may open their child up to if the product is defective. This is a problem that Graco knew or should have known about. These worries may only continue for consumers if the issue isn’t properly addressed. Do you own a Graco Slim Spaces compact baby swing? Have you experienced similar issues with the swing’s rocking feature? Let us know! Fill out the attached form to join the investigation.
