Safety issues with the GMC Yukon

Several owners of the 2022 GMC Yukon have reported instances of their vehicle suddenly shutting down while in use or slowing down to a neutral position, which can be especially concerning if it happens while the vehicle is in motion. Additionally, some owners have reported issues with the headlamps not functioning correctly, either flickering when in use or not turning off when instructed.

In addition to these issues, there have also been reports of malfunctions with the safety features of the 2022 GMC Yukon, including power steering, air bag usage, and a failure to display key features like the Yukon’s fuel gauge or speedometer.  As recent complaints have alerted, these likely manufacturing issues are not easily fixed by a system update, potentially leaving many Yukon drivers at risk.

Investigation into General Motors’ GMC Yukon

Some vehicle owners have reported these issues to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Given the severity and number of reported issues, there is potential for a class action case against General Motors for the 2022 GMC Yukon’s electrical system issues.

The team at Shub & Johns LLC will continue to monitor reports about these GMC vehicles. If you have experienced any of these issues with your 2022 GMC Yukon,  fill out our form today to share your story with Shub & Johns.
