Chevrolet Equinox Infotainment System Screen Glitch Issues

Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP launches an investigation into General Motors and Chevrolet due to a potential defect with 2025 Chevy Equinox models and potentially other models and model years.

Screen Glitches with Chevy Equinox

Consumers have taken to online forums and social media to describe issues they are experiencing with the Chevy Equinox, namely concerning the vehicle’s infotainment system. Owners, drivers, and passengers have noticed a potential issue that can cause not just frustration for consumers but may also put the driver and passenger at an increased safety risk.

Many consumers report that the infotainment screen that controls the radio, rearview camera and other features may glitch, freeze or stay blank entirely. This is a frustrating issue for consumers. Many find that when the screen experiences the defect, it loses functionality – users cant switch radio stations, adjust the navigation, or use other key features.

Not only is it frustrating, it can be potentially dangerous. The infotainment system is a notably important feature when trying to reverse or back out of a parking spot. The screen provides access to the rearview camera which many drivers may rely on to reverse safely. With a frozen or glitchy screen, a consumer may not know what obstacles stand behind the vehicle or which warnings the camera is trying to relay.

Many drivers may already be experiencing this issue without proper recourse or direction from General Motors or their Chevy dealership. This potential defect puts consumers at an increased safety risk and leaves the consumer with an allegedly defunct screen that they seemingly cannot use.
