Lyft Riders want Lyft liable for Driver Assaults

Did you report an assault to Lyft that was discarded? Some Lyft customers have reportedly been assaulted – either physically or sexually – while a passenger in a vehicle. Lyft may not even punish the driver.

Shub Johns & Holbrook launches an investigation into the rideshare giant Lyft following claims that passengers and long-time Lyft customers were assaulted by their Lyft driver.

IN response, Lyft may not be doing enough to protect its customers from assault enacted by Lyft drivers. Lyft drivers are currently considered independent contractors with Lyft, though still employed through Lyft’s platform. Lyft should be held liable for the actions of its drivers and the potential harm these drivers could cause to paying customers and riders.
