Uber Riders want Uber liable for Driver Assaults

Did you report an assault to Uber that was discarded? Some Uber customers have reportedly been assaulted – either physically or sexually – while a passenger in a vehicle. Uber may not even punish the driver.

Shub Johns & Holbrook launches an investigation into the rideshare giant Uber following claims that passengers and long-time uber customers were assaulted by their Uber driver.

IN response, Uber may not be doing enough to protect its customers from assault enacted by Uber drivers. Uber drivers are currently considered independent contractors with Uber, though still employed through Uber’s platform. Uber should be held liable for the actions of its drivers and the potential harm these drivers could cause to paying customers and riders.
