Gainwell Technologies Reportedly Exposes Americans’ Private Information Overseas

Gainwell Technologies, a company that processes the majority of Medicaid claims, allegedly exposed Medicare claimants’ data to overseas workers in the company’s attempt to transition to an overseas workforce. The information exposed could include tax identification numbers, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers, among other sensitive data.

Some states outright prohibit the transfer of data overseas to avoid misuse by parties that are not subject to American law. But former Gainwell employees have alleged that claimants’ personal information was exposed to Gainwell employees in India on various occasions, including during training sessions. Some employees also assert that their job necessitates access to personal information, but that Gainwell is nonetheless hiring overseas workers to fill their roles.

The experienced class action lawyers at Shub Johns & Holbrook want to hear from individuals whose data has potentially been exposed by Gainwell. If you’re one of those impacted, fill out the form below to get in contact!
