Nissan and Infiniti Drivers Report Scary Situations of Sudden Stalling and Engine Failure

Owners of 2021–2024 Nissan Rogue, 2019–2020 Nissan Altima, 2019–2022 Infiniti QX50, and 2022 Infiniti QX55 have reported their vehicles stalling while driving. These drivers may be unable to rely on their vehicles for safe and reliable transportation, as such occurrences put drivers at risk of an accident. Other drivers have stated ongoing no-start issues that worsened over time and eventually led to complete engine failure.

In June 2025, Nissan announced a recall of affected models, instructing dealers to inspect the engine oil pan for metal debris – a sign of serious internal damage. If debris was found, the engine would be repaired or replaced; if not, dealers simply changed the oil and returned the vehicle. Critics argue this remedy may not go far enough.
