A Pennsylvania federal court recently appointed Shub Johns & Holbrook Partner Benjamin F. Johns as interim co-lead class counsel in a data breach class action lawsuit against Arctic Glacier.
The Arctic Glacier data breach has allegedly impacted some employees’ personal identifiable information, potentially putting these individuals at risk of fraud and suspicious activity. Full names, social security, and other sensitive information may have been included in the breach.

On or around July 23, 2025, Arctic Glacier, a premium-packaged ice distributor in North America, discovered that its employee data had been impacted through a cybersecurity incident.
The data breach was discovered in late July 2025 after a ransomware group known as Qilin reportedly claimed responsibility for a ransomware attack that allowed the group to gain access to Arctic Glacier’s information systems.
The sensitive information reportedly exposed in the breach includes the following:
On August 4, 2025, Shub Johns & Holbrook filed a class action lawsuit against Arctic Glacier for the potential impact that the data breach could have or has already had on affected individuals.
On September 17, 2025, the Court granted Plaintiffs’ motion to appoint interim co-lead counsel and to consolidate any future related actions against Arctic Glacier concerning the July 2025 data breach. In its order, the Pennsylvania federal court appointed Benjamin F. Johns, a Partner with Shub Johns & Holbrook LLP, as Interim Co-Lead Counsel for Plaintiffs in the action, alongside co-counsel.
