Healthcare Services Group Data Breach

On August 25, 2025 Healthcare Services Group, Inc. (“HSGI”) publicly announced its information systems were impacted by a cybersecurity incident. The company filed a notice with the Attorney General of Maine and subsequently delivered notices to affected individuals.

According to HSGI, the company learned on October 7, 2024 that an unauthorized actor gained access to certain information systems within its network between September 27 and October 3, 2024. Though learning of the data breach in October 2024, HSGI did not begin notifying consumers until late August 2025.

Through its investigation, HSGI learned that the data breach impacted the private information of about 624,000 individuals. Information potentially impacted by the breach includes:

• Full name
• Social Security number
• Driver’s license number
• State identification number
• Financial account information
• Account access credentials

Data Breach Class Action against Healthcare Services Group

On August 27, 2025, Shub Johns & Holbrook filed a class action data breach case against HSGI for the effects that the data breach may have or has already on impacted individuals.
