The article touches on a recent session of the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation and their decision to move the J&J Sunscreen cases – now consolidated in Multidistrict Litigation (“MDL”) – to the Southern District of Florida. Jonathan Shub, in representing the group of plaintiffs who had moved for the MDL transfer in the first place, stated, “Plaintiffs look forward to pursuing these important cases in the Southern District of Florida.”
The J&J Sunscreen MDL alleges that Johsnon & Johnson failed to inform consumers about the presence of benzene – a human carcinogen – in particular sunscreen products under their Neutrogena and Aveeno brands.
