Shub Law Firm is investigating claims against companies that allegedly sell defective and unsafe children’s products.
ARE YOUR CHILDREN’S PRODUCTS DEFECTIVE?
Products are classified as defective when they have an unsafe design, when they are poorly constructed, or when they lack appropriate warnings. Some of the most common defective children’s products include clothing items, cribs and bunk beds, strollers, bicycles and tricycles, pacifiers and teething rings, drinking glasses, baby monitors, and booster seats. In June of 2020, Shub Law launched an investigation into Graco Children’s Products, Inc. for allegedly misrepresenting its Booster Seats as safe for children under 40 pounds. Our firm has since filed a class-action lawsuit against Graco involving its booster seats.
In other news, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported just two years ago that there were about 59,000 emergency room visits in which children’s injuries involved products for children under the age of five. The CPSC found that head injuries were among the most common injuries reported, along with internal organ injury, contusion, abrasion, or laceration. Evidently, the scope of dangerous and defective children’s products seems to be larger than just one company or product.
