NCB MANAGEMENT SERVICES DATA BREACH

On or around March 24, 2023 NCB Management Services announced that a cybersecurity breach left its servers susceptible to attack. Around February 4, 2023, the company learned that a cybersecurity incident exposed sensitive and private information. An unknown actor was able to access the company’s systems, potentially leaving consumer data vulnerable and 495,000 individuals at risk.

NCB Management Services (NCB) is a Pennsylvania based company. NCB is a twenty-five-year-old provider of Accounts Receivable Management and Call Center Management solutions, as well as a respected national debt buyer. In early February 2023, NCB learned of a cybersecurity incident targeting its servers, but has not elaborated on this discovery. NCB immediately engaged in an investigation, uncovering that an unauthorized actor had gained access to its systems on or around February 1, 2023., but NCB did not start notifying customers until late March 2023. Customers remained unaware for significant period of time before hearing news of the data breach. This could have potentially left many individuals affected by fraud unaware of a likely reason.

Customer information such as names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account/payment card information, employment position, pay amount and/or account status and potentially much more has been exposed.
