Shub & Johns LLC launches investigation into the 2022 Hyundai Sonata after drivers and owners of the vehicle reported that they have been experiencing issues related to the vehicle powertrain system.

Owners of the 2022 Hyundai Sonata have taken to online forums to voice their concerns with their vehicle after experiencing issues with their engine and transmission. A healthy powertrain system, consisting of both the engine and transmission (as well as the drivetrain), are important for optimal functionality of your vehicle. In the case of the 2022 Hyundai Sonata, consumers claim to have experienced overheating engines and loss of acceleration power, causing the vehicle to come to a slow halt. Other drivers have reported to have experienced transmission oil pump malfunctions that can result in a complete loss of drive power, as well as gear stuttering that impacts driver safety.

In early 2023 a transmission recall addressed gear stuttering issues, but it is not clear if additional efforts are being made to address other issues with the powertrain malfunctions drivers may be experiencing. These issues can not only impact the safety of the Sonata driver and passengers, but it puts other drivers at risk as well.
