Audi is a large German automotive brand of luxury vehicles that range from sedans all the way to coupes and even SUV’s. A timing chain system defect can lead to several issues, including engine misfires, triggering of the check engine light, abnormal engine noises, poor vehicle performance, and in severe cases, inability to start the engine or engine failure. If ignored, such a defect could result in severe engine damage, such as piston-valve contact, necessitating costly repairs or complete engine replacement. Therefore, immediate professional assistance is recommended if a timing chain issue is suspected and such repairs are often very costly and time consuming.

The specific Audi models affected are 2011-2015, 3.0 Liter Audis. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Audi A4 (2011-2015)
