Shub Law Firm LLC is investigating a potential lawsuit on behalf of victims of physical, sexual and other abuse at the Delaware County Juvenile Justice Center (“DCJJC”). The DCJJC, a youth detention facility located in Lima, Pennsylvania, was closed in March of 2021 amid reports of widespread abuse. More recently, a Pennsylvania Grand Jury investigating conditions inside the DCJJC found a “dangerous absence of oversight” and proposed a series of recommended changes. According to the Pennsylvania Attorney General, “[t]he Grand Jury found the system failed to protect these children and provide them with the tools they needed to reform and grow, instead abandoning them in a dangerous environment with little to no oversight.”
Shub Law Firm LLC is investigating whether people subject to abuse at the DCJJC may be entitled to financial compensation. If you were formerly held at this facility, please contact us by filling out the form below.
