Smarter Nutrition touts on its website that its supplements are “formulated by the top nutritionists and scientists in the industry, and produced in a world-class facility right here in the US.” Consumers expect and trust that Smarter Nutrition’s supplements live up to the representations and claims that the company is making to consumers, including, “you shouldn’t have to worry about where your supplements are coming from or how they’re made.”

Shub Law is investigating Smarter Nutrition for allegedly making false and misleading claims on its supplements’ packaging, including through its advertising and on its website. The Smarter Curcumin supplement is advertised as being so strong that “at 250x the potency you won’t believe it’s all-natural.” However, Smarter Curcumin may not be all-natural, and instead non-natural, synthetic, and artificial.

Smarter Nutrition also markets its Smarter Curcumin supplement as having superior bioavailability. “Bioavailability is the amount of a substance that actually enters your bloodstream so you get the health benefits you’re looking for.” However, neither the Smarter Nutrition website nor the company’s amazon brand page offers any indication(s) of any bioavailability studies that have been performed on the product. Simply put, Smarter Curcumin is not backed by science.

Does the Smarter Curcumin Supplement actually live up to the claims made by its manufacturer, Smarter Nutrition? Shub Law does not believe so. Consumers are purchasing Smarter Curcumin based on apparently false and misleading claims.
