SHUB LAW INVESTIGATES MISREPRESENTED NEURIVA ORIGINAL AND NEURIVA PLUS BRAIN PERFORMANCE SUPPLEMENTS

Shub Law Firm is investigating Reckitt Benckiser LLC and RB Health (US) LLC (“Reckitt Benckiser”) for making misrepresentations about their Neuriva Original and Neuriva Plus purported brain performance supplements.

The brain health supplement market is a multi-billion dollar industry. In April 2019, Reckitt Benckiser decided to get in on the action when it brought to market Neuriva Original and Neuriva Plus. The supplements are promoted as “clinically proven” to fuel “brain performance.” But a recent class-action lawsuit filed in a California federal court alleges that neither of these statements is true.

It is alleged that Reckitt Benckiser engages in deceptive conduct to take advantage of the growing consumer demand in the multi-billion dollar brain health supplement market that is driven by consumers’ concern about brain health.

It is important to note that Neuriva Original and Neuriva Plus are not FDA approved. Because supplements are not considered drugs under FDA, they are not put through the same strict safety and effectiveness requirements that drugs are. So, when the Neuriva Original and Neuriva Plus supplements promise to improve or even maintain “brain performance”, it is important to seriously consider whether the Neuriva Original and Neuriva Plus supplements actually live up to those representations.

In addition, it is alleged that Reckitt Benckiser makes numerous representations in its advertising and marketing, including on the Neuriva Original and Neuriva Plus products’ labeling, website, and other marketing materials, that the supplements are “science proved”, “backed by science” and “clinically proven” to improve consumers’ focus, accuracy, memory, learning, and concentration.

Shub Law Firm has doubts and whether Neuriva Original and Neuriva Plus supplements live up to the hype. For one, there simply is not enough evidence that can support these claims. Plus, consumers are paying a price premium for these purported brain health supplements that may not actually contain the benefits as advertised.
