Volvo XC60 Electrical System Defects Investigation
Shub & Johns LLC launches investigation into Volvo after consumers report issues with the electrical system of 2022 Volvo XC60. Consumers take to online forums to voice their concerns with the potential defect as it may lead to risks on the road.
Owners and drivers of the 2022 Volvo XC60 have made complaints on online forums about the electrical systems of their vehicles. Namely, consumers are seeing issues with the infotainment system that is used to operate many of the vehicle’s amenities and safety features. Complaints say that the infotainment system may quit or might not even boot up at all, preventing users from being able to access air conditioning controls, back up cameras, and other tools accessed through the infotainment system. The screen of the system also seems to have issues, with many claiming that the screen turns off, dims itself, or just doesn’t work.
Beyond the infotainment system issues, drivers of the XC60 also indicate that the vehicle is experiencing battery drain issues as a result of the alleged electrical system defect. Some consumers report that a potential software bug with the vehicle may be draining the vehicle’s battery. Others experiencing this issue report that the rather than dying, the vehicle may be stuck in park and is unable to be disengaged.
These issues can bring about many problems for drivers and owners of the Volvo XC60. Issues with the screen may lead to many distractions or even safety risks on the road, while battery drain issues may strand drivers out in the open or at their home if they are trying to get somewhere.
