Nissan Altimas and Rogues Prone to Door Lock Failure
Shub & Johns LLC opens investigation into Nissan after some owners of 2019-2020 Nissan Altimas and Nissan Rogues experienced issues resulting in the vehicles to remain unlocked. Owners and drivers may be concerned of unwanted break-ins and other potential safety risks.
Models of 2019 – 2020 Nissan Altimas and Nissan Rogues may be prone to door lock failure. Investigations and reports from consumers indicate that these Altima and Rogue models indicate that the door lock actuators may be prematurely failing. Drivers, owners, and lessees of the vehicle may not be able to lock their doors properly as a result of the alleged defect, opening up consumers to safety risks not only for themselves but for their belongings.
Some consumers who raise this issue with Nissan dealerships are told that the alleged defect cannot be fixed under warranty and any remedy to the door lock failure would be paid out of pocket. Consumers should not have to worry about their safety or that of their belongings, and should not have to pay out of pocket for an alleged manufacturing defect that leaves the driver at risk.
